IBM severely downsides out group after the 2008 crisis and as one of the newest staff, I was let go. I used the downtime between jobs to launch a small tourism business in Austin where I managed a group of 5 employees.
With business up and running, I returned to UX in a UX Architect contractor role at Schwab.
When IBM's hiring freeze was lifted, old manager hired me back as a long term contractor via CDI.
With the success and growth of IBM Your Learning I was offered opportunity to take on the UX Lead role for their suite of products, which I have done until recently
